ReplyDeleteMy favorite tracks on the CD were "The Rain",(The soft mellow beat draws you in, and the lyrics were solid and consistent. The artists' mood really captures you. This was an excellent Intro to the cd),"Feelin' Good",(Nice story, N. Talekt has a way of using his words to paint a picture and listening to this song, I can picture every moment),"She Know" (Feeling the soft rap, singing matches the tone, interesting story from beginning to end) "Body On Me", (Sexy song, N Talekt tells a romantic story about a man and a woman getting intimate. He switched up his tone for this song, which works great for the hook and the slow beat) "Love Kills", (Loved the lyrics, and the passion that came with each word that I heard. I def. felt his pain on this song, and it's so powerful. This song tells a story about HIV. The last song I remember hearing about that was "Waterfalls and that was in the 90s. This is something people need to be aware of. So, this song is not only a good listen but it's educating people) "So Gone", (I had to listen to this song a few times, and that's a good thing. N Talekt tells a story from different points of view with his strong lyrics you don't want to miss a beat. The story was very deep and something I can relate to) and "In My Loving Memory" (Outstanding conclusion to the CD, this CD was a story, you have to listen to every song or you will miss out on an important piece of the puzzle).
Honorable Mentions, "I Cant Lose",(High energy, loved the beat, artists worked great together) "Empty The Clip" (N Talekt killed it on that first verse, it's one of my favorite verses on the CD) and "Up, up and Away" (Another high energy song, loved the beat as well, and great lyrics. I love a song where I can not only enjoy the beat but appreciate the lyrics as well).
Overall, Great CD, Love the cover and whats inside. If you can appreciate great lyrics and consistency in strong lyrics yet different styles for each song, give this cd a listen. The whole cd flows great together. Each song tells an interesting story and I can tell a lot of work, thought, and time was put in behind this CD. I wish him the best and keep your head up.
